This fuel filter head came completely assembled and ready to install.  That made things easier since getting at the filter head is so much fun.  Because I would be tearing out a number of things to get to it I decided to make a few mods while I was there.  The filter hatch in fender liner and the head spacer were installed with this as well.  Both will make future filter changes easier.

This install fixed both the hard starting and poor idle I was having especially on colder mornings.  I did try rebuilding the filter head but that didn’t really fix all the issues.  At that point I figured there was a small crack in the housing so no better way to confirm that then replacing it.

I would suggest you order replacement fuel lines as well since you’re there.  Mine looked a little soft, so they are on order.  Very happy with all my MadJack Diesel Performance parts!!
